The Olympic Park
The Olympic Stadium hosted the 1976 Summer
Olympics and is Montreal's most famous landmark.
It is ovoid-shaped with a distinctive 'ribbed' look,
and has the world's tallest inclined tower at 175 m
(574 ft) high. The complex includes the Montreal
Biodome, the Montreal Insectarium, and the
Montreal Botanical Garden, one of the largest
botanical gardens in the world.
Montreal Eaton Centre
Have a stroll on Ste-Catherine Street downtown
and stop by the Eaton Centre. The underground
shopping center features 175 shops and restaurants
and is considered by many as the number one
shopping destination in the heart of Montreal.
The Underground City
Over 32 km (20 mi) of tunnels are spread over an
area of 12 km including shopping malls, hotels,
banks, museums, universities, seven metro stations,
and more. It is a perfect way to shop while escaping
the traffic and/or Montreal's harsh winter.
