Beyond video surveillance
A VMS built with a unified approach will allow you to bring a wide variety of sensors together. Here are some
examples of the other kinds of data our open architecture platform can ingest:
Automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) data created by specialized all-in-one
devices combines two high-definition cameras with onboard processing and
illumination. It lets you read and identify license plates, then stream contextual video.
Intrusion panels can be unified with your video surveillance system. It will generate
an alarm when a subject enters a restricted area. Viewing those devices on dynamic
maps can be very useful to gain more control over every situation.
Access control system unification lets you manage every door in your system and
track credential activities. Using this in conjunction with your VMS will help you
heighten security as well as streamline employee and visitor access.
Gunshot detection sensors generate alarms in your VMS when gunfire occurs,
providing broad outdoor coverage on campuses and in complex urban geographies.
Point-of-Sale integrations allow retailers to improve investigation in the case of
suspicious cash register transactions. It lets operators search transaction history in
all stores and view videos tied to these events in order to identify suspects.
Video analytics metadata is generated by cameras or at the server level and
ingested by your VMS to present actionable information to the operator. This helps
automate security monitoring and create intelligence for your business.
Communications management enables communication between operators and
intercom devices deployed in an organization. This improves security, awareness,
and collaboration.
