How to make it more efficient?
Lots of video feeds with better resolution means more hardware and processing power requirements. It is
essential to make video streaming more efficient in order to make better use of your infrastructure.
Dynamic streaming
When dealing with a large number of video
streams, you should optimize CPU usage. The
Dynamic Stream feature switches between low
and high-resolution streams depending on the
size of the selected canvas tiles. Your security
system will automatically choose amongst
available streams so that they are better suited
to the current monitoring layouts.
GPU-accelerated decoding
Some video management systems can leverage commercial off-the-shelf graphics cards to offload the
processing demand from the CPU, which enhances the performance of existing workstations.
