Today's airports are changing their approach to security, looking for new efficiencies, new insights, and data-driven decisions. They are looking for ways of correlating data between disparate systems, and building a unified system, with the aim of improving operations, but also reducing the cost of infrastructure and personnel. Security Center Flight Business Logic (FBL) enables airports to re-think the use of their security infrastructure by introducing real-time flight schedule updates directly into their platform. Giving them proactive monitoring of airport premises in order to better support passengers and protect assets. Unified airport operations Following an announcement of a "gate change" for a departing flight, airport personnel can monitor the crowd of passengers moving from the previous gate to the new one and dispatch staff to guide them. A large crowd moving from one gate to another can be a security issue and an operational issue, with passengers risking a missed or delayed flight. In both situations, airport personnel are required to assist passengers and escort them to a new gate or make arrangements for a different flight. By integrating airport business logic within your security platform, any update from the flight schedule can trigger system behaviors. Either a specific action or automate predefined Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) mitigating security risks and reducing operational impacts. Airport personnel can consult flight information directly in Security Desk's Flight Task
