Real-time widgets and dashboards to display status of processing areas, directly in Security Center How it works Data is collected from multiple sensors and systems already deployed in an airport, including ALPR cameras in parking areas, traditional video security cameras, 3D sensors for queue monitoring, LiDAR devices, and WiFi antennas. Security Center PFA transforms this data into valuable insights that can drive operational decisions. Security Center PFA measures various metrics for each processing area according to their location. For processing areas like check-in or passport control, the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) measured could include occupancy, queue wait time, number of operating counters, and processing time for each counter. If the processing area is part of the transit area, like duty free and boarding, the metrics measured could include occupancy and activity density represented through heatmaps. Physical distancing can also be calculated in the airport by leveraging LiDAR sensors. These sensors provide location coordinates of objects, allowing Security Center PFA to use this information to calculate distances between objects in an area and showcase them through an interactive dashboard. The information attained on area occupancy and passenger distance in airports can be used to validate distancing measures that have been put in place, but also to improve terminal layout in the long run. For each metric, the operator can set thresholds to notify staff when queues are too long or when the occupancy in a specific area is too high. Then, Security Center PFA can visually represent the notification by changing the color of the affected area on the map and can trigger an alarm in Security Center. In Security Center PFA, each processing area has a dedicated real-time dashboard. Each dashboard can be customized to the KPIs that are deemed most important.
