How it works
Security Center AMT tracks the location of aircraft
— whether in the air or on the ground — based on
the ADS-B protocol. Security Center AMT supports
ADS-B through local systems and public services,
such as flightstat.com. With that in mind, users
can easily monitor aircraft traffic approaching and
departing from their airport, from touch down to
the assigned parking stand.
Security Center AMT prevents aircraft and other
surface vehicles from runway incursions using
the ADS-B transponder. By clearly showcasing
their movements on the map, it helps to minimize
potential accidents. By using Security Center AMT
with Security Center Restricted Security Area
(RSA) Surveillance, users can further enhance their
surface management capabilities by leveraging
radar and other Perimeter Intrusion Detection (PID)
systems to limit false alarms. Security Center RSA
Surveillance also provides additional visibility on the
location of vehicles that aren't equipped with ADS-B
transponders, by using its geo-locating functionality.
