How it works Roles In Genetec ClearID, a role is defined by a group of employees who are assigned access rights based on their attributes, and a role manager controls who's placed in each group. Before you can configure your attribute- based provisioning policies, you must create and define your roles. Provisioning policies In the self-service portal, account administrators or role owners can create and modify provisioning policies that automatically associate people with a specific role. Access revocation An employee's access rights can be revoked immediately or over a predetermined amount of time when they no longer match the provisioning policy. Owner and manager of a role can manually add or remove role members This will automatically assign or remove access rights for the members in the given role.
