Use cases License plate verifications Verify license plate reads against hotlists and permit lists of vehicle plates to help you locate vehicles of interest and manage access to your parking space. Suspicious vehicle pattern detection Trigger alarms and workflows when SharpV units repeatedly detect a vehicle of interest in an area according to pre-set thresholds. (Ex: when vehicle X passes Y number of times within Z number of minutes). Historical records of readings Keep a record of all past license plate readings, corresponding vehicle make and color, and associated metadata in one convenient location. Purchased parking time monitoring Link license plate numbers to purchased parking times through third-party pay-by-plate stations and mobile apps. Using AutoVu Free-Flow, you can also view real-time inventories of vehicle parking infractions. Vehicle speed estimates Estimate the speed of vehicles to trigger alerts and reports to better detect road usage violations. Pair this data with Security Center travel time to get the average speed of traffic in an area between 2 or more SharpV devices. Product note · AutoVu SharpV Use cases License plate anonymization Anonymize vehicles' license plates when reading them to ensure the privacy of drivers when collecting traffic flow data, or any other activity that does not require driver identification. Vehicle classification and count Count and classify vehicles on the road by type for a better view of traffic volumes hourly, daily, monthly, and annually with Security Center Traffic Sensor Management. Parking management and automation Read license plates with SharpV units installed at the access points of gated or open parking areas and link plate numbers to access credentials to monitor parking zones without the need for an access card or key. Parking info display on digital road signs Leverage Security Center digital sign management to display data collected by SharpV units, including parking occupancy, average speeds, and more.
