Staying up to date with
privacy regulations
Most security systems today might not meet tomorrow's privacy
requirements—that's how often they change.
In recent years, governments worldwide have introduced new
regulations to prioritize privacy rights and ensure that personal data
is collected and managed with privacy in mind.
Depending on where you conduct business and the sensitivity of
the private information you are collecting, it may be necessary to
appoint a data protection officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with
privacy laws.
A DPO will also oversee processes, procedures, and internal policies
to protect data, anonymize the information, and respond to breaches
and citizens' requests. Finally, a DPO will create and maintain
documentation of all these steps.
