How it works Licensing A base OSS license and a license for each offline lock in the system are required to access these features and benefits. Using the Genetec access control system and a card updating station, you can encode OSS Standard Offline configurations and access rights onto MIFARE DESFire credentials. These cards carry the rights to offline locks, which make access decisions locally. Cardholders must periodically present their credentials to card updating stations to retain their validity and upload access events to the Genetec platform.
