Unify video from your body wearable cameras and other devices alongside your surveillance system With the proliferation of surveillance cameras and emerging video capture devices, such as body wearable cameras and smartphones, incidents and evidence can often be recorded outside of an organization's traditional video surveillance system. Over the course of an investigation, organizations will often need to maintain video files retrieved from independent systems, each requiring their own upkeep, user management policies, and investment. Security Center enables organizations to leverage a common platform with which they can manage and maintain recordings from their IP surveillance system, as well as from a variety of offline video devices. With the Video Import Tool, you can retrieve video and audio recorded in standard formats, including MP4, MOV, and AVI, used by many body wearable cameras and smartphones, and index them natively within Security Center. Using this method, operators can easily review video captured outside of their surveillance system, and centrally manage all archives using a single management platform. Video Import Tool Applications: Video surveillance Feature note Key benefits Manage all video from IP and body wearable cameras in Security Center Standardize on a common platform and infrastructure to manage recordings, users, and permissions Ability to import video from a wide range of devices, including body wearable cameras, smartphones, and 3rd party surveillance systems Sample applications Import recorded video from body wearable cameras Law enforcement and public safety agencies can complement their existing surveillance operations with on-body cameras to gain greater awareness and accountability of events in the field, while leveraging Security Center and their existing IT infrastructure to manage archived video, retention policies, and control user access. With the ability to review video from body worn cameras alongside IP cameras in their surveillance system, operators gain greater context of events, and can better assess incidents from all available vantage points. Import recorded video from other devices & applications In addition to the ability to import video from body wearable cameras, Security Center also enables users to ingest recordings from other devices and applications, including smartphones and video exported from 3rd party video systems. Organizations can thus retrieve evidence captured outside their own video surveillance system, and centrally manage investigations and video files from a single platform.
