What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of rules
that govern how organizations collect, use, and share the personal
data of European Union (EU) citizens. Not only does the GDPR
give individuals more control over their data, but its rules apply
internationally to any organization handling EU citizen data
and come with hefty noncompliance fines. Today, many other
government bodies use the GDPR as a benchmark to enact their
own strong data protection and privacy laws.
