Key findings
The analysis has revealed that COVID-19 has led to an understandable focus on leveraging
existing systems to ensure the safety and security of people and facilities. Not surprisingly,
with budget and staffing being critical factors to operations, a longer-term view related to
the adoption of new technology and the updating of processes are second to executing on
immediate public health requirements.

TOP CHALLENGES ORGANIZATIONS FACE
The business of COVID-19
Business continuity and new HR challenges are top concerns
in physical security operations in 2020. These are affecting
the ability of physical security teams to start or to execute
on work. Slowdowns in building/construction permitting and
the inability for installers to do on-site work are resulting in
delays; while projects such as new builds are being cancelled
or downsized.
