Community Connect capabilities
Access live video, recorded video, and ALPR data
From community partners with Security Center
Using Federation™, Community Connect participants can share video and ALPR data from
their system with police authorities. These individuals can decide which cameras to share and
which level of privilege they want to provide during incidents using a rule-based system.
Provide video camera recordings in a few clicks
Community partners who want to participate in improving the safety of their community
can collaborate securely with policing authorities without sharing access to their video
surveillance system. They can choose to register their contact information and the location
of their cameras. Then during an investigation, police authorities may request video from
a registered community partner, who can drag and drop the video files on an easy-to-use
cloud-based platform.

From community partners without Security Center
Community partners can share their existing video streams from any local camera with
police authorities using Community Connect and its various partners. By choosing from
a selection of plug-and-play gateway appliances, they can forward ONVIF or RTSP
video streams from any local cameras to Security Center.
Manage cloud-based video and recordings
Community partners who have existing network-enabled cameras can connect directly to
our cloud-based system, Security Center SaaS. No physical on-premises Security Center
system, nor Federation is required.
