State of Physical Security 2020 Genetec Inc. 8 Dealing with COVID-19 is an extraordinary circumstance, but individuals surveyed continue to work to optimize systems for regular operations and an eventual back to normal. More than 90% of those surveyed reported running both video surveillance and access control in their physical security deployments and of these more than 75% were on- premises implementations. Not surprisingly, respondents from smaller organizations were more likely to report only running either video surveillance or access control in their organizations. Also of note is that more than 76% of respondents reported that their organization had implemented either: • an integration between video surveillance and access control systems from different vendors, or • a unified video surveillance and access control solution from one manufacturer Several additional tools were also ranked to provide insight into the most common solutions deployed.
