Video is a valuable tool to help you review events and solve crimes. But requesting access to recordings from cameras near the scene of an incident can be a time-consuming process that delays the course of an investigation. Appropriate governance of the process is equally important to ensure that justification for the release of video evidence has been vetted and there is an operational requirement to share recordings with a broader group of investigators.
