Melbourne, July 15, 2016 At ASIAL Security 2016, Australasia’s premier security industry event, Genetec Inc. (“Genetec”), a leading provider of open-platform, unified IP security solutions, will showcase its latest security products on booth L20. The exhibition and conference will take place from July 20 to July 22 July 2016 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.,

New version of Security Center

During ASIAL Security 2016, Genetec will offer a sneak peek of the latest version of Security Center, the company's unified IP security platform that combines access control, video surveillance, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), and communications. Security Center 5.5, expected to be available in early Q3 2016, will feature a new disaster recovery mode, focused 'Security of Security' features with enhanced levels of authentication and encryption, augmented video archiving and export management capabilities, and new choices of supported access control hardware. With innovative capabilities designed to help organizations better secure their sites, Security Center 5.5 will give administrators greater control and protection of their security infrastructure.

New flexible ownership options

Visitors to the Genetec stand will also be able to learn about the new subscription model for Security Center. The recently-announced Security Center Subscription model introduces new flexible ownership and payment options that allow customers to get access to Security Center on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis. Subscribing customers receive the same local, on-premises version of Security Center and pay for it on a monthly or annual basis, as opposed to purchasing the entire system upfront. When purchasing on subscription, customers also benefit from the Genetec online support resources and qualified support professionals by phone or through live chat, as well as access to Security Center Cloud services with risk-free trials included in the price. As part of its new subscription model, Genetec has also introduced Security Center Compact, a new entry-level edition of Security Center that can support up to 25 cameras and provides an easy, "no training required" option for customers with basic video management requirements.

SV-32 v2: New Turnkey Appliance

Genetec will demonstrate the new version of its SV-32 v2 a turnkey solution that enables organizations to deploy a unified or standalone IP/Analog video surveillance and access control system while maintaining their existing investments in analog infrastructure. With built-in analog encoder cards, the SV-32 v2 offers a cost effective solution to integrate legacy analog cameras as part of an IP transition plan. Pre-installed with the Genetec™ Security Center platform, the SV-32 v2 appliance allows for the consolidation of multiple remote sites within a single security environment, while supporting a wide range of future-proof IP cameras and door controllers to suit various deployments needs.   Ideally suited for institutions that have already made significant investments in analog cameras over the years such as banking and retail organizations, the SV-32 v2 can support up to 32 analog or IP cameras and 100 Access Control readers on each unit.

New Operational Decision Application and Map-Centric Monitoring

At Security 2016, Genetec will preview of a new operational decision application product that will allow organizations to proactively plan for and respond to threats and incidents with new decision support capabilities. This new product will feature central monitoring and management of incidents, map-centric views of an organization's operations, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and embedded operator response workflows when handling incidents. It will also capture incidents as they arise, make them immediately visible within a map-based interface, and track them throughout the entire process (from activation to resolution).   Genetec will also demonstrate its map-centric approach to security management with an optimized version of Plan Manager, offering impressive multi-screen, map-based displays.

Latest version of AutoVu

Genetec will feature the latest version of its AutoVu automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) solution, highlighting the newest tools for law enforcement and parking with the latest generation Sharp and SharpX camera hardware. AutoVu Managed Services and Free-Flow offer new parking enforcement and management modules that help increase parking efficiency.
