How different organizations are using real-time crime centers Typically, RTCCs are dedicated physical spaces containing large displays which present information in real time. They use various integrations, such as layered mapping, video feeds, Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) locations, and the current location and status of police vehicles. Also, video feeds from surveillance cameras, shot detection capabilities, predictive policing software for identifying high-risk areas and individuals, and supplementary detailed information like water level sensors, HOA or school contact information and more. Supporting day-to-day decision-making Conducting daily briefings where crime, event, and operational statistics are analyzed to identify patterns and hotspots. Action items are created to help make decisions during the briefings. Addressing requests for information RTCC staff prepare analyses in response to formal requests, assisting individuals with access, interpretation, and follow-up on the information provided. 1 2 6
